What is included in my registration?

Your Chardonnay Run™ entry is packed with value!  Athletes will receive an entry into the race, custom event t-shirt, custom commemorative wine glass, a race bib, live music, sponsor expo, cheese plate, and one glass of wine.

Is there team registration?

Yes!  We encourage you to race with your friends and create your team t-shirt!  Just register as a team when you sign up online. In order to submit your team for others to sign up, make sure you complete your registration on that team first. Once the team is in our database, you are more than welcome to sign up multiple people with one transaction.

How long is the course?

The Chardonnay Run™ is a 5K course – approximately 3.1 miles.  The course varies by location, so please check the city-specific pages for more specific information on each course.

Is there an aid station on course?

There will be one aid station on the course providing water to athletes at approximately the halfway mark.

Can I walk the course?

Yes, feel free to sprint, jog or walk the course – whatever it takes to get to the finish line and your wine!

Is there a time limit to finish the course?

The course will begin to be picked up approximately one hour after the last athlete begins the run.  This will allow for about 20 minutes/mile walking pace.

Can dogs participate?

Sorry, leave your fury friends at home.  For the safety of other participants and spectators, dogs will not be allowed on the race course or in the post-race expo.

Can I run with a stroller / bring my kids?

The Chardonnay Run™ is for adults over the age of 21. Unfortunately, strollers will not be allowed on the course.

How much is the race?

The price of the event varies based on your event location and when you register for the race.  For the lowest rates, register today before the price increases.

Do you offer refunds?

All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another athlete.  No exceptions will made to this rule.

May I pick up a race packet for another person?

No, you must pick up your own race packet.  Our event staff and volunteers will require each participant to sign his or her own waiver, show his or her own ID, and pick up his or her own packet.  No exceptions will be made to this rule.

How early do I need to get to the event site before the run begins?

We encourage you to get to the event site at least an hour before the race begins to collect your race packet and goodies, drop off items at bag check, and get ready with friends.

Is there gear or bag check available at the race?

Yes! There is a Bag Check where you can drop off your gear prior to the event.  Bag check will cost $5 per bag.  Tear off the “Bag Claim Check” tab from your racer bib and affix to your bag with a safety pin. Event staff will sort your bag according to your racer number, and you can claim your belongings later with your bib number. While the bag check area is secure and we make every effort to protect your belongings, MESP, Inc. and The Chardonnay Run™ are not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Please leave valuables at home!!

Will athlete refreshments be available after the race?

You bet – Each participant will receive post-race refreshments of cheese and other delicious pairings, along with one glass of wine.  Food trucks / vendors will also be onsite to purchase food.

May I bring a picnic and/or my own beverages?

Yes and no – we encourage you to bring a picnic to enjoy with your friends after the race.  We will also supply post-race refreshments.  Food trucks will also be onsite to purchase food.  Each participant and spectator will receive one glass of wine with their race entry.  No outside beverages will be allowed in the festival area.  Additional wine may be purchased for $8 and water will be provided.

Is merchandise available to purchase?

Yes, we will have custom event merchandise and commemorative items available to purchase. Online shopping will be available soon!

What do I need to bring?

Here is a handy list of items to bring:

  • ID – you must have your photo ID to pick up your race packet and enter the post-race festival.
  • Cash – to purchase bag check, merchandise, food from the food trucks, and additional glasses of wine.
  • Chairs and picnic blankets – hang out and relax with friends post-race while sipping some wine and listening to live music!
  • Your friends – make a day of it and bring your friends and family to race with you or to meet you after the race.
  • Spectator passes are available to purchase through our registration site.
  • All passes include entrance into the post-race festival and a glass of wine.

Are there entries for spectators?

Yes!  If your friends are not interested in racing, we encourage them to watch you and participate in the post-race festival!  Spectator passes will be available for purchase through the registration page by clicking here.  Each spectator pass includes access to the post-race festival, sponsor expo, and one glass of wine or Fruit and Cheese Box.
